Ahmed Al Khatib, Chief Executive Officer, Real Estate Development and Delivery at Expo 2020 Dubai, has confirmed the completion of major works and construction on the exhibition site, including the large area of the three sub-concept areas of 'Sustainability, Opportunities and Mobility'.
He revealed that 100% of the infrastructure works have been completed, as well as the completion of the power stations that will supply the entire site, as well as advanced stages of road works surrounding the Expo 2020 Dubai. He explained that «(the metro) entered the stages of testing, to be fully completed the metro station in July next, while work is currently on the work of cosmetic and agricultural work throughout the site». He added that «with regard to the pavilions topics (mobility, sustainability, and opportunities), all the construction work will be completed by the end of this year, and then begin the internal work phase in these pavilions», stressing the completion of all these pavilions by April 2020.
30 countries are embarking on their wings
The operational testing period will be carried out after the completion of the design works until next September, on the facilities and facilities, including independent pavilions built by the countries, and the number of 84 pavilions.
