The central processing unit AP, the brain of the Galaxy Note 10, is made by EUV process.

Concerns have also been raised about whether production will be disrupted when Japan regulates the export of EUV photoresists.

Mr. Koh said he has a stock of parts for three to four months and explained that it will not affect the production of Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Fold later this month.

But he added that if the situation is prolonged, it will affect smartphones.

Samsung, which has shown a decline in earnings in the smartphone segment following semiconductors, plans to target the global market in the second half with new smartphones.

In Korea, it will be officially released on the 23rd.

The US Wall Street Journal noted that Samsung released a new product at a critical time when US sanctions slow down the growth of China's Huawei.
