The WTO General Council began at 10 am, about three hours before the Swiss time.

Eight Korean delegates, including Kim Seung-ho and Ambassador Baek Ji-na, entered the conference without any questions.

The Korean delegation's speech on Japan's export regulations has not arrived yet.

The Korean delegation's speech is on the eleventh issue.

At the current speed, it is expected that the regulatory agenda for Japanese surgery, which was officially designated as zero by the initiative of Korea before midnight (23rd)

Our delegation plans to emphasize that Japan's export regulations have already violated international trade norms and that this is not just a matter for both countries, but a global issue that is linked to the value chain.

Specifically, Japan seems to be persuading the international community that exporting is virtually restricted, and that we have violated the WTO rules by increasing the number of licensed documents.

Japan, on the other hand, is likely to argue that the measure is not an export restriction, but rather a law that is in place to defend its laws and regulations governing its strategic goods.

Although the WTO General Council is not a binding decision, it is drawing attention to the problem of the Japanese export regulation to the international society and the opportunity to secure the cause and support ahead of the WTO formal filing.

More than 20 media outlets from Korea and Japan and foreign media such as Bloomberg are continuing coverage.
