In Syria, the international coalition claims to have initiated a process of withdrawal from Syria. This coalition includes many countries but it is mostly represented by US forces in Syrian territory. A new announcement, but still no precise timetable.

This withdrawal process could take several years, or be immediate as Donald Trump first announced last December. According to a military source interviewed by CNN, a cargo would already be in motion, but its content was not specified.

We have defeated ISIS in Syria, my only reason for being there during the Trump Presidency.

These announcements come the day after the speech of the head of the American diplomacy in Cairo. Mike Pompeo called for unity against Iran and said " America will not pull out until the fight against terror is over . "

He added: " Donald Trump has made the decision to withdraw our troops, we are going to do it. "

The statements follow one another, but the vagueness and inconsistency persist as Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan still threatens to lead an offensive against the Syrian Kurdish factions.

They are collaborating for the time with US forces in the fight against the Islamic State organization. IS could only benefit from this new conflict. Since its inception, the group has been feeding off divisions and power struggles in Syria as well as in Iraq.
