On the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, Washington convened a special meeting of the UN Security Council dedicated to the fight against nuclear proliferation. Chaired by Donald Trump himself, this session allowed the US president to continue his charge against Iran .
Also present this week in New York, Hassan Rohani told Donald Trump at a press conference. The Iranian President has heard Donald Trump accuse him of supporting terrorism and destabilizing the Middle East, but he especially wants to retain the many positions of leaders favorable to the maintenance of the 2015 nuclear agreement, despite the withdrawal of states United States .
" We are not isolated, retorted Hassan Rohani. It is America that is isolated. At the UN General Assembly, in the Security Council, everyone expressed support for the nuclear deal. And one way or another, everybody said that the United States was wrong. "
Rohani confident in the face of US sanctions
The president says that his country will resist the sanctions reinstated by Washington and said Tehran will continue to respect the agreement as long as there is a benefit to be gained. " Sooner or later, the United States will return to the agreement, hammered Mr. Rohani. It can not continue. What they did, it does not benefit the people of Iran, the American people, Europe or other countries. "
On the issue of Iranian missiles also raised this week at the UN, Hassan Rohani recalled that the 2015 agreement only concerned nuclear and not the ballistic program of Tehran.
