It is reported by TASS with reference to the monitoring study of the Institute for Social Analysis and Forecasting of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation (RANEPA).

The authors of the study divided the inhabitants into four groups according to the level of consumption. According to their data, 22% of Russians are in the poverty zone and can afford to buy only the necessary set of products.

35.6% entered the consumer risk zone, in which it is possible to provide normal food and casual clothing, but the purchase of durable goods causes extreme difficulties.

The zone of possible changes includes 14.1% of respondents. 28.3% of respondents entered the zone of consumer comfort.

Earlier, the head of the Audit Chamber, Alexei Kudrin, speaking in the State Duma, said that the level of poverty in Russia remains high.
