Six out of 10 adult men and women in Korea feel that their lives are getting worse this year, and 7 out of 10 expected the economy to be bad next year.

According to a recent survey by the Korea Economic Research Institute, 62 percent of the 1,377 men and women aged 19 and over said that they have lost their lives compared to last year, and 70.9 percent said they expect the economy to be bad next year.

Han Kyung-yeon said that the IMF and OECD and other international organizations have lowered their forecasts for Korea's economic growth rate to 2.6 percent and 2.8 percent next year, respectively. This is because the growth rate of interest rates has increased and the rate of household debt growth is faster than household income .
