The two former Deutsche Bahn managers Werner Bayreuther and Ulrich Weber each receive 83,300 euros for their expertise. The motorway company - officially an infrastructure company for motorways and other federal highways - is to manage the 13,000-kilometer-long motorway network from 2021 onwards.

The Confederation is currently negotiating collective bargaining agreements with the civil servant union and Ver.di union. The Green Transport politician Stephan Kühn wonders why it needs it for advisers: "The Minister obviously does not trust his own people, the negotiations alone."

There was also clear criticism from the civil servants' union: "In the government departments there is sufficient technical and technical expertise throughout, especially in the Federal Ministry of the Interior." It is incomprehensible why the BMVI does not fall back on these resources, said the Deputy dbb Federal Chairman Volker Geyer.
